Jabra Sport

A kind person has sent me these Jabra Sport Wireless Headphones  to try. So I have been trying them. Which nicely fits in with the beginning of my training for the Chester Half Marathon.  I almost never read the instructions with new gadgets but i am at that age where i do just that and feel comfortable with it like sitting in my pants and watching the news while the neighbours are around.

These headphones use Bluetooth to connect to my Android after i gave them a charge with the…….ahem charger that comes with them. A handy little lightweight case is supplied and it’s better than a case i have been using for the last few runs. The headphones are intergrated with Endomondo Sports Tracker which is the software i have been using for a few months to track my runs  using the GPS on my phone. The headphones fit snugly around my large ears and i like the  shiny strap that you hang around the back of the neck which also helps to stop hecklers because clearly i am listening to tunes and none of there nonsense. Music was clear and crisp and you can also get an audio update from the tracker on how your run is going. I am yet to recieve a call from someone while out running but i dont think i will be able to answer anyway so i will just take there word for it that it does that.

I like them a lot and will be using them a lot.

to Steph who one a tidy pair of trainers from the competition below. Hope you enjoy them.

My blister has healed up and as such i did a 10km race last Sunday with 800 plus other runners in the Nick Beer 10km around the lovely Great Orme. I have done this race 3 times now and it gets better every year.

Entered the Chester Half Marathon and training starts today.

Why do they make trainers with a metal slot at the back of the heel so that this happens on a 5 miler?

What is a Tempo Run.

It turns out it’s a run you find “comfortably hard” that means every run I have done since I started running has been a tempo run. I think?

Anyway today I did a 3 miler that was hard. A tempo run then.

Holy Crap Intervals

Written by Phil on January 24th, 2012. Posted in Intervals, Running, sprints

Todays schedule called for 8x400m Intervals. I never do this sort of stuff but i promised i would this year because i know i am lazy runner essentially. These are very hard for me. I was blowing out of my own arse by the 3rd one. So you run 400 meters fast and recover for 400 meters, repeat 8 times.

That red line is about 400 meters and that mound is where the red line is if any of that makes sense then hats off to you.
